This book came out of a visit where my mother and I were looking through what I had shot since her last visit and brainstorming new book ideas. It included some of my favorite images that until then had not found a use. I think it's the most beautiful cover out of all my books. It feels to me like the Little Blue Heron is not looking through the water but checking himself out as well as reflecting on things.
